Good by itself, great mixed!
I bought several roasts of Baltic Coffee Co.'s coffee. I'm a huge breakfast blend fan for the smooth lighter roasted coffee (also typically contains more caffeine). I'm not a fan of the dark roast in general, but this pulls it off without being too bitter tasting of the dark roast. I learned however, if you mix 50% breakfast blend with 50% workhorse coffee- you get the best of both worlds. The smooth breakfast blend coffee with a hint of rich dark roast. If you like to slowly drink/sip your coffee, let it sit in your mouth a little while and you'll be able to pick up all the different flavor notes!!
